Sarah Schmidtke

Since April 2019 Sarah Schmidtke is the managing director of the Association of Banks in Hesse. Prior to this she was responsible for the launch and the management of the Frankfurt office of the European Banking Federation (EBF), where she focussed on banking supervision and financial market regulation. Between 2012 and 2015 she was the Financial Attaché of the British Embassy in Berlin and worked for the Bank of England. Sarah studied business administration and began her professional career in the capital markets business in 1999. She spent six years working for Commerzbank in London and Frankfurt before joining the French bank Natixis, where she spent seven years in Frankfurt and in Paris.
