Stephan A. Paxmann

Stephan A. Paxmann is Chief Innovation Officer at LBBW. Since 2022, he has been responsible for the bank’s strategic digitalization and innovation agenda. Together with his team, he oversees innovation and trend management, evaluates and pilots new business ideas based on digital solutions, develops the digital roadmap for key digitalization initiatives, and supports the Group in embedding innovative digital business models into everyday operations. In this role, he is also responsible for LBBW’s GenAI activities, including the establishment of the required infrastructure and governance.

Prior to joining LBBW, Stephan A. Paxmann held senior leadership roles at Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main and New York, and at IMG in St. Gallen, where he headed the consulting business for German-speaking markets. From 2007 to 2010, he served as Director International Banking at Allianz SE in Munich and Paris and worked in Group Strategy at Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt am Main. In 2010, he founded TME AG, a Frankfurt-based boutique consultancy specializing in the digital transformation of banks and insurers, and served as its CEO until 2022.
