Stefan Hoechbauer

Stefan Hoechbauer brings over 25 years of experience in technology sales and leadership to his role as Managing Director for AWS Germany and Europe Central at Amazon Web Services, a position he assumed in April 2023. Throughout his career, Stefan has been instrumental in spearheading digital transformations for institutions and enterprises across various industries. Prior to joining Amazon, Stefan served as the Executive VP/CEO of DACH at Salesforce, where he played a key role in driving growth and innovation in the region. Before his tenure at Salesforce, he held significant leadership positions at renowned tech giants such as SAP, IBM, Peoplesoft, and Oracle, where he honed his expertise in navigating complex technological landscapes.
Stefan holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Munich, underpinning his strong foundation in business management principles. Additionally, he earned an MBA from INSEAD, further enriching his global perspective and strategic acumen.
Based in Munich, Stefan finds joy in restoring classic cars, exploring the cultural richness of Italy through travel, and giving back to the community through his involvement with Munich Tafel, a charitable organization dedicated to helping those in need.
