Dr. Daniel Besse

Dr. Daniel Besse is the Chief Digital Transformation Officer of Deutsche Börse Group and also serves as Managing Director of Post Trade IT. In this role, he is responsible for accelerating digital transformation across the entire Group and aligning strategic visions with concrete implementation programs.

Daniel also served roles as Member of the Executive Board and Chief Technology Officer at Clearstream Holding AG, CEO of Clearstream Services Executive Board as well as Non-Executive Director of Kneip and FundsDLT.

Before joining Deutsche Börse Group in 2020, Daniel was running multiple roles in UniCredit Group such as CIO at UniCredit Bank AG, CIO of Commercial Banking Western Europe, Head of Security and ICT Management, Head of Post Trade Services and Head of Cash Management. Daniel has a proven track record of managing large teams and significant budgets, driving IT and security governance, and leading complex projects in the financial industry.
With a strong educational background, including a Doctorate in Business Administration, Daniel is driving organizational and cultural change to best fit for future challenges in the financial industries, from business growth to technology transformation.
