Daniel Schmitz-Remberg

Daniel has been working as a strategy consultant since 2006. About a year later, he co-founded Accenture Sustainability Services. Since then, he has worked on numerous „green“ topics across various industries in international projects along the entire value chain. However, most companies at the time were primarily focused on either trying to stop climate change or reporting on it.

Daniel increasingly recognized the growing economic and societal impacts of severe climate change and began to focus more on adaptation and its strategic relevance for businesses. As the issue gained importance and companies sought value-oriented support, he founded DSR & Partners and the first Corporate Climate Adaptation Conference in 2024 (since 2025, jointly with Handelsblatt). With the Adaptation Exchange he recently founded the cross-sector platform that unites large corporates, start-ups, banks, investors and think tanks to shape how organizations may tackle their pathway to resilience.
