Ingo Schiller was born on 18 June 1965 in Essen. After studying business administration at the University of Essen, he held various positions at Borussia Mönchengladbach; last as marketing director.
Ingo Schiller has been managing director of Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA since 1998 and is responsible for the entire commercial sector, divided into finance, marketing, sales, organization and merchandising. From the club's side, Ingo Schiller was instrumental in ensuring that Hertha BSC was the first football club to launch a public bond in Germany, and in early 2014 entered into a strategic partnership with leading global investor Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (as well as the companies affiliated with KKR, "KKR"). The agreement includes a long-term investment of EUR 61.2 million, which consists of several components. Among other things, this includes the acquisition of a minority interest of 9.7%.
In addition, Ingo Schiller was elected to the DFL Supervisory Board for the next three years at the General Assembly of the League Association in August 2013 and re-elected in August 2016. In addition, Ingo Schiller, representing the league association, is also a member of the DFB board.
