Dr. Josie-Marie Perkuhn is a research assistance at department of political science, Kiel University and affiliated with the Institute of Security in Kiel (ISPK). She studied Political Science and Chinese Studies in Heidelberg, Shanghai and Chengdu. In December 2018, she defended her PhD thesis at Heidelberg University. Her PhD research on the PRC and International Relations brought her 2014/2015 to Tsinghua University, Beijing. As Taiwan Fellow of 2017 she conducted further research at the National Chengchi University (NCCU) in Taipei. After her master's graduation in spring 2012, she worked as a teaching assistant for the Institute of Chinese Studies and as a project manager for a training program in cooperation with Taiwan's DGPA in 2012, 2015 and 2016 at the Institute of Political Science, Heidelberg University. Currently, she teaches a class on Global Health with Chinese characteristics at the China Center, University of Kiel. Currently she mentors the ChInnoTopia talks in association with several other universities and cooperation partners.
