Oliver Behrens

Oliver Behrens is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Europe Holding SE, Morgan Stanley Europe SE and Morgan Stanley Bank AG. He is also board member of Morgan Stanley International Limited. Oliver joined the firm in January 2015 as CEO of Morgan Stanley Bank AG and Country Head for Germany and Austria. With more than 35 years of banking experience, Oliver advises Morgan Stanley clients on a broad array of financial and strategic matters as well as general corporate finance themes. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Oliver spent nine years at DekaBank in Frankfurt where he was responsible for the Asset Management business and later also the Institutional Sales and Trading segment. In January 2007, he joined the Board of DekaBank where he served as Deputy Chairman and Chairman over the years. Oliver started his career at Deutsche Bank AG and he stayed with the firm until the end of 2005. Among other positions, he was Director of Deutsche Asset Management Investment GmbH and Member of the Governing Board of Deutsche Asset Management International, as well as Speaker of the Board of DWS Luxembourg. Within the Asset Management business of the Deutsche Bank Group, Oliver led the global money market fund business as well as the short-term bond fund segment. He is a Board Member of Deutsches Aktieninstitut, a Strategic Board Member of DDV (German Derivate Association) and Member of Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft. Oliver studied at the Universities Hagen and Tübingen and holds a Master’s degree (Diplom-Kaufmann) in business administration. He is married and has four children.
